A quick introduction to my guides for part, or all of this trip, Josphat Mako (picture 1 below) is my overall guide who will be with me for the full five weeks. He’s a guide at Cottars Camp in the Mara and is just sitting for his gold guiding certificate (that’s really good!), Patrick Koyati (picture 2) is my guide for the next few days as we explore the high Loita Hills. He’s a walking guide at Jan’s Camp/Maasai Trails.
Picture 3 is Peter Drango from Nairobi (and not a Maasai). He will be driving the supply jeep carrying all our (well mine mainly) gear and meeting us each evening. And picture 4 is a very nice man who isn’t part of the trip but I rather hope he becomes part of it because he cooks very well..
